Hi everyone, my name is Katherin, and I’ve been passionate about the history of elite units for quite a few years now—the Rangers in particular... I’ve already read quite a few books on the subject, but I wanted to talk with people who really know their stuff, not just skim through Wikipedia articles written in five minutes. What interests me most right now is everything related to World War II operations, especially the landings where the Rangers played a role that I feel is often underestimated in mainstream accounts (Pointe du Hoc is actually quite fascinating when you dig a little deeper). I’m still a long way from reaching the level of some of you here, I imagine, but I read a lot and learn quickly.
