Intro: JDenges

Post by JDenges »

Hello Rangers,

I would like to start by sincerely thanking all the members of this page for the invaluable service and information you provide.

My name is Jeremy, I'm a 17 year old senior in high school from California. I have searched the pages of this site for information in the past few months hoping to educate myself and kickstart my enlistment process with some prior knowledge. The military is something I've planned on since I was much younger but only within the past year have I fully committed myself to a career within the Army. I enlisted a month ago as an 11x with an Option 40, and am scheduled to ship next July.

I've joined this site seeking your insight and mentorship in developing a more refined training regimen, and in hopes of effectively preparing for RASP. For the time being however, I will continue to make full use of the search feature and keep my mouth shut.

APFT

Push-ups: 85
Sit-ups: 78
2 Mile: 15:25

Thank you again for allowing me the opportunity to utilize this resource.

Jeremy, when are you going to do some work on your task-list on the five mentee thread? I noticed you were on the site today. Never, never quit!

Jeremy, grab a friend and ensure you explain to them how to grade push ups. Then have them grade you for your next APFT if you have not done so yet.

Welcome to the site, glad you're here!

Ranger Jim,

This is my first time coming back to this thread and I’m clearly not well enough acquainted with the mechanics of the forum. I apologize for my lack of response. I actually just addressed the delay in my task list on the 5 Mentees thread a few minutes prior to seeing this.

I will get straight to work on my task list after school and have it posted ASAP.

Roger, Ranger Disinfertention, and thank you for the welcoming.

My last APFT was self-administered 20171117, I will have a buddy grade me on my next test this week.

Ranger Jim,

I’ve posted my completed task list up on the mentee thread, and will update as I progress. I plan to grade my APFT tonight when I get off work. I knocked out 25+1 for the delays.

I’ve learned a lot about my habit to tell myself that my “plate is already full” and my tendency to procrastinate. Actively working to correct this in all aspects of my life.

Thank you Rangers for the welcoming and I hope everyone had a great holiday.

APFT: 20171128

PU: 80
SU: 74
2 Mile: 14:39
CU: 16

I’m still far from satisfied with my running but am starting to notice improvements in my endurance when performing the 5 Mile. By the end of December I’m planning to average about 15 miles a week with an additional ruck once I get my pack.
