I signed a 11x opt 40 contract. Meps personal said I didn't qualify for the option 40/airborne with a med waiver (i had a serum sickness reaction to cechlor when i was youger that i admitted to) but I stuck to my guns and asked to speak to the medical personal to explain my circumstance. Being scientifically enclined I was able to describe the reason behind the requirement for the waiver to the attending physician and she took it to her superiors, passed me and then completed my airborne physical. The stars truly aligned in my favor.
