I was thinking about buying one of these Alice Rucksacks http://www.fatiguesarmynavy.com/store/subcat/273 and filling it up with sand or some such substance to add to my jogging enjoyment... Anyway, I was just wondering, should I get the one with the frame, or without the frame? I'm hoping you guys will say frameless is better as its a lot cheaper hehe. But either way, I'm willing to pay the price to get my ass in shape.
Thanks for even reading, anyway. :)

I just currently started Ruckin again to get back into shape and re enter service. My advice to any of you is 10 miles aday is plenty for you to do. Here is why, it will keep you in shape enough and will get you used to road marching. The only thing you need to do is increase the wieght you carry and decrease the time per mile. Right now for example I am carrying 70lbs of sand in my ruck and I do 10 miles aday. I am pacing myself at this moment at a 14 min per mile down from 17 last week. once I get to 12 min miles I will increase my wight to 85 lbs which is a good wieght for BN
then will continue till I can get it to 10 min miles, which anyone know is like running and plateau there.
The important thing to remember is to push yourself but dont over exert to the extent you hurt yourself, that comes after you are in Bn, then its a different ball game.

Question for you Sniper,
My advice to any of you is 10 miles aday is plenty for you to do.
How many times a week do you suggest I ruck for to prepare for something like RIP?

I can say what I am doing is not prepping for RIP , the rucking I am doing is more along the lines how I used to roadmarch when I was in. Now for how much will be good for RIP well I would ask the Young Studs you just graduated RIP since I went to RIP I went through RIP soooo long ago, but I will say that if you just get it in your head now that no matter what you won't quit then RIP should not be be to difficult to complete including rucking.
