Hi, my name is Travis, I'm 18 years old and finishing HS on June 30th, 2011.
After I graduate I'm planning on joining the Army as an 11x Opt 40. I will settle for nothing less.
Right now I'm training hard physically for the PT and mentally for the ASVAB. I have the Ranger Creed memorized. :)
I am exited about joining this site and am looking forward to gaining all the help/wisdom I can get. :)
I thank all of you Rangers for the sacrifices you have made for your country!
God Bless,
Travis

Travis, you are certainly welcome here. If you truly want to earn a place in the 75th Ranger Regiment, you are at the right site. We at armyranger.com take pride in the fine young men who have passed through here on their life journey. Please tell us why you want to serve as a Ranger? In addition, please self-administer a PT test and post your results on this thread. Please complete this task not later than midnight, Sunday 12 June 2011. Never, never quit!

Re: Introduction: Travis
Ranger Jim, Thank you for the welcome.
Here's why I want to serve as an Army Ranger. I wanted to join the military since I was a little kid, I have always felt that my calling is serving my country. Recently( past couple of years) I have been praying where God would have me serve. When I stumbled upon the GoArmy Ranger page I started praying about it.
Colossians 3:23-24 "23 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, 24 since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving."
This verse helped me make the decision because I read " Whatever you do, work at with all your heart, as working for the Lord" and I knew I couldn't settle for anything less than the best.
