Post by DFC681 »

Fire Mission.....Greetings to all. Found this site a few weeks ago.
Commissioned in 1980 out of UMass as a FA Officer
Graduated from Ranager School in class 6/81...med recycle from 4/81...then went to Airborne two days after graduating .... not a smart way to go!
2AD (FWD) Germany for 3.5 years
2AD FT Hood for 5 years
Left Active duty in 1990
Indiana NG 1994-1998
Michigan NG 1998-2000
IRR 2001-2007
Iraq 2004-2005 MNSTC-I (Iraqi Police Training, Baghdad, Al Kut, Hilyah, Kurdistan)
Resigned 2006
Enlisted in 2008
Iraq 2008-2009 MCT Operations (UR, Iraq)
Still serving in Reserves as Det NCOIC for a Transportation Unit.
Been an interesting time in the Army.....have seen it from both sides O1 to O5 and E5/6 perspective. I owe my two First Sergeants a beer from when I was a Commander!!

The way I became a Ranger and have earned the small amount of success I have had in life has been mostly due to one quality - determination. Lefty.
