Why in the world would you join or request to join a Forum named Army Ranger if you have no interest in becoming a Ranger?

Re: Introduction-James
Ranger rgrwest, I believe it would do me well to, at the very least, learn about who and what the Rangers are, in detail. I apologize deeply if what I have said has offended anyone or seems, out of place. But I'm only being honest.
Do with what you can.

Verbage is everything. Since we don't know you all we can tell is in the way you post or formulate your words.NottheFaceJames wrote:Ranger rgrwest, I believe it would do me well to, at the very least, learn about who and what the Rangers are, in detail. Making statements like you did above, are not indicative to acceptance among some of the finest warriors this country has ever produced. Maybe, saying "I really don't have any knowledge of Rangers or what they do" would have been better suited for the conversation.
Something you will find on this site is the term "Attention to Detail" on many counts and posts. This is predicated on the fact that Rangers are known for their ability to follow instructions and pay attention to their surroundings. We do appreciate your honesty. That is admirable, continue to keep that focus.
If you are serious about joing the military, then feel free to peruse the forums to learn as much as you can. But, you and only you, can decide what service, what branch, and what type of job you wish to have. Being a Ranger is or will be the toughest most challenging thing you will ever do. Bar none.
Good luck............

if you study the FAQs, stickies and selected threads, you can learn a lot. Don't rule out Rangers yet. You have lots of time to study your options.

Re: Introduction-James
I'll Keep that in mind, Ranger Jim. If nothing else, this website motivates me to get off my computer once in a while, and remember to go running four/five times a week.
