kana_808 wrote:Hello Rangers, this might sound like a dumb question bu I have actually given a lot of thought to it. Is it possible to get booted from RASP even if you personally NEVER quit (besides obvious reasons like disciplinary or medical)? Also I have been trying to find more info on the mentor program and what exactly this is. I have used the search option and have found articles referring to it but I cant seem to find any specific forum on it or what exactly it is. Any answer is appreciated.
1) Yes you can get the boot for various reasons even if you don't quit.

Why are you giving it so much thought? Focus on what it takes to succeed and let quitters worry about how to get kicked out 'through no fault of their own.'

here's how to succeed at RASP, or in Regiment, the Army, life:

1. Meet or exceed all standards. All of them.

1.a. Be where you are supposed to be, when you're supposed to be there.
1.a.(1) Wear what you're supposed to wear. Have what you're supposed to have.
1.b. Don't be where you aren't supposed to be.
1.c. Do what you're supposed to do.
1.d. Don't do what you aren't supposed to do.
1.e. Know what you're supposed to know.

2. Don't quit.

you may think I'm being a smart ass, but it's really that simple. Simple? yes. easy? no.

edit: added 1.e.

He's right, it is exactly that simple and hard all at once.

Oh yeah, and these are the two that even after doing all the others allowed me to graduate RIP, and fuck it up. All in one day.
