Sitrep

Post by Chris »

Hey Rangers

At MEPS now. I got a "2" in my vision which I personally think is BS. I am 99% sure my vision is correctable to 20/20 and they are saying 20/25 which makes me ineligible for combat MOSs. They tried throwing other BS jobs at me but I told them 11x or 13Fox or I'll go be a nuclear engineer for navy. They told me to piss off but then called me back and told me they would call FA and see if they'll take me. FA requires 98 and I scored 128 so hopefully my high asvab/gt scores will pay off!

They refuse to let me re take the vision test also, honestly I don't think I took the test correctly. Apparently an exception to policy is highly unlikely which is very discouraging. I'm not joining the army without option 40. They offered 68W and said I could get the option 40 but I've done no research on 68w option 40

Use the search option. 68W, Option 40 is a highly trained Ranger Medic. Worth the study. Never, never quit!

Yeah, research it and all, but personally, I'd go for it. Ranger Medics are priceless.

Thanks Ranger mortar_guy78. And will do Ranger Jim. My recruiter said he could get me a re test. I wore an old pair of glasses with an old rx that messed up my vision when I took them off to do the test.
