From what I understand, 28 days later copied from this, which was a graphic novel before the 28 days later movie. So it will look familiar.

I am Legend, the original book, was more about vampires than zombies. Original with Vincent Price playing the part was more true to the book.

I was trying to remember, but I thought "I am legend" was similar to "Omega Man" with Charlton Heston.

I was trying to remember, but I thought "I am legend" was similar to "Omega Man" with Charlton Heston.

The Last Man on Earth, Omega Man, and I Am Legend were all based on the book, I am Legend by Richard Matheson. Matheson also wrote What Dreams May Come. Every story that has a virus turning people into vampires or zombies borrows the idea from the book, I am Legend.

I fucking love "Last Man on Earth" ("Freaks! All of you, freaks!") and to a lesser extent The Omega Man. I'd like to read the book at some point, I've just never gotten around to it. Matheson also wrote several short stories, Twilight Zone episodes, and on and on.
