I am shipping to benning 14 sep for infantry osut then rasp.
Dont want to just be a soldier, I wanna be a warrior
ill never quit, but I do understand I'll be pushed to "the wall" many times
if any Ranger could share what they think about, things u say to yourself, or things u don't think when u hit that wall please share.
Just something that'll give me an edge when shit sucks
thanks

Re: Intro Chris
Welcome, we have the same shipdate. What's your PT looking like?
(Also, shouldn't there be that Airborne thing in between OSUT and RASP?

Re: Intro Chris
thanks for signing up to serve. there are plenty of examples of how we motivate ourselves (I think that's what you were asking for). take some time to search the site, read around, and you may find your questions have been answered.
Also, we prefer that users use proper grammer and spelling here. capitalize what deserves it, and spell out words, we really don't like reading text-typing.

I'll try better on typing I'm using an iPod. Good to hear someone that's shipping the same date.
My pt is good. I did the 2 mile in 13 min and 5 mile in just over 40, I could beat that tho.
Rob, have you been doing any training?

Welcome and thanks for volunteering to serve.
Once you've entered into OSUT there shouldn't be any need for motivation. You simply do what ever is asked of you to the very best of your ability......quitting is NOT AN OPTION. I will never forget the first time I saw someone quit, I couldn't believe it, it had never occured to me that you COULD quit.

Re: Intro Chris
Welcome and thank you for enlisting. I don't how motivational this will be for you but it worked for me:
I always looked at those around me and then I would think about all that preceded me and always considered myself to be capable of doing and enduring anything that they could and did do. Quitting was never an option.
