Secret Clearance ?

Im currently a Legal alien, wanting to be a Ranger, few problems tho...
Im not a citizen, which I need to be for OPT 40 corret?
also need secret clearance which i cant get unless im a US citizen correct?
also, when 16 marijuana possesion charge, got caught with a very small amount, and recently a Minor Consumption charge at 19(total bullshit, just drinking some Jack with friends, next thing u know cop stops in front of the house and were all busted) ive heard those 2 charges will not allow me to get that secret clearance. :shock: AM I FUCKED OR IS THERE HOPE????? :shock:

I'm no recruiter but I will say that "it don't look good". I'd wait for SFC Hit_it to respond but I'm sure he's gonna tell you the same.

The other thing I want to say and I hope this helps. You got into trouble a couple of times smokin pot and drinking. That's not Bullshit, that's what happened (if a police officer cited you, then he probably had probable cause).

Personnally, I hate drugs and I'm not to big on drinking but what I would do is re-evaluate how these two incidents have prevented you from pursuing your dreams and desires. If you think of it in those terms, then maybe you might be able to put it into better perspective and make better "decisions" in the future.

Sucks to hear that Ranger BeadleBug. I wonder why my recruiter is so sure he'll be able to get me a Ranger contract and not even tell me that I probably wont get a secret clearance. Well I guess all I can do is wait and see, but I cant give up the dream just yet.

because he can't get you anything. he only gets you to MEPS.

DISCLOSING your charges will increase your opportunity for a clearance.

do what he tells you to do.

and i agree with Ranger Beadle. you have to be one stupid fuck to be drinking underage OUTSIDE, get caught, then say the charge is bullshit.
