- The sling is a standard AR sling that I modified with spare parts from an old laptop bag to make it "tactical"
- Sling mounts are $10 Walmart QD Swivels.
I went with the mid-length gas system for a couple reasons. Primarily because my research had shown that wear & tear was significantly less than a traditional 16 inch barrel. The secondary reason is because the muzzle to gas block length is the same as an A2, and therefor a bayonet mounts properly. You know, in case I run out of ammo while shooting cats or something.
