Re: Introduction
A little more info: I am 34, will be 35 at the time I leave. My PT score is 280, working to be at 300+ by the time I leave for Leonard Wood. Im a short stocky guy, 5'6" 190 (16% BMI). I have searched through the posts as a visitor, and have a couple of questions about Branching, IOBC and then going to Ranger School.
1. If I branch IN or AR, is it true still that I will be offered the opportunity to volunteer for RS?
2. Is it advisable to complete Airborne prior to or after RS? I have read conflicting reports, and would like some feedback.
3. If the opportunity to volunteer is proffered, will RASP or ROC, which ever it is called now, be offered as well, or will I have to push to attend that?
4. Finally, is there any advice anyone wishes to offer for an older guy, looking to be an Officer and a Ranger?
Thank you for your time.

Re: Introduction
Congratulations for enlisting to serve our country. If you branch Infantry, you will most likely get the opportunity for BAC and Ranger School. Armor, not sure, but most likely not.
WE NEED MORE RANGERS!
