I'm actually from Waterloo and go back pretty often. However I hope you're more awesome than the Cornhuskers. I recall them getting beat by ISU and our team is horrible.

Welcome, young lieutenant.

A few words of advice: if you're in the 290s, you can get to 300, and you ought to before you get to Benning. Try PT 6 days a week instead of 4.

You may have been a standout in your ROTC class (probably were, since you got Infantry), but so were pretty much all the active duty guys who will be in your IBOLC class. Your ability to control your own destiny as an Infantry 2LT is limited, but it is enhanced if you are a standout among your peers.
