Intro - Austin

Post by a.schaff860 »

hello, i'm austin. I''m 17 years old and a senior in highschool in louisville, ky. i've been on my schools swim team for the past 2 years, have raced dirt bikes cross country for most of my life, and i'm an active traceur. i decided last year i wanted to join the military and after a lot of research i narrowed it down to one goal, to become an army ranger. this excellent website has greatly informed me and influenced my decision.i scored a 92 on the ASVAB and have been to the recruiting station a few times. they offered me a 25c/opt 40 contract, but i'm not too sure about it. thanks for the great forum

Welcome and good on you for wanting to serve our country as an Army Ranger. If you want a different MOS, tell your recruiter what it is and hold out for it. Be sure to read and heed the ROE PM I have sent you.

Welcome, thanks for your desire to serve and your interest in the Rangers. Be sure to adhere to Ranger Bill's advice. If you do, this can be a great help to you. If not, it will be a wasted opportunity.

I will most definitely listen to Ranger Bill's advice Ranger HakweeRgr. Due to some trouble I got into last summer and since I'm somewhat on probation my recruiter was having a hard time getting me a security clearance and said I have to wait until I'm 18 to get my charges evaluated. I had the 25c/opt40 locked up, but thats what I get for being a dumbass.
