Very interesting...

Good Day Rangers, Vets, and Future Soldiers,
Just a quick sitrep. First, I need to thank Ranger Caruthers for suggesting 19th SF Group. As soon as I read his comment on my other post about not even being able to enlist due to being prior service E-4/E-5, and to check out 19th SF Group in Texas, I did. Well Gentleman, the ball is rolling not only to elist and go to jump school after WTC, and AIT, but to go back to 19th Group and complete a SFAD...Special Forces Assesment Drill. It takes place once a month for a weekend and upon successful completion...18 MOS pipeline bound. The National Guard recruiter has been awesome. And I have accomplished all of this via e-mail and phone from Virginia to Texas. I am very excited to say the least. I cant' wait to move back to San Antonio. My recruiter said that I will be receiving my SF acceptance letter soon from C Company 5th Bat. 19th SF Group (A). I have literally waited a lifetime for this. My recruiter informed that I wasn't too old for SF due to the fact that there are some E-7's my age that do go to SFAS in the Regular Army. So, if it wasn't for this forum...well...I just hate to think of what I would have missed out on. And once again...thank you Ranger Caruthers for letting me know to pick up my teeth...put them in my pocket...and drive the f**k on. Ship dates to be posted soon.
