If he counts Kuwait as a "Deployment" that should give you a little insight. He's probably a Tanker.

So the old 593d Support Bn (GS) is now a brigade.
I used to have to shlep our jeeps and electronics down to assorted shops in your forbear's area for higher level maintenence after Ranger love & care. Some of your mechanics earned a couple cases of beer for keeping some jeep bodywork a certain buck sergeant didn't want to explain from coming to the attention of his chain of command.

Check the Benning website, follow the link to tenant units and select the 75th Rangers. Look for the list of Ranger MOSs, if yours is there, get your 4187 done fast. If you think you're ready for ROP, you might be able to get to Regiment from jump school. Since you're PCSing from Lewis anyway, it will be no skin off anyone's nose if you report to a higher priority unit than the 82d. Worse than can happen to you is that you bolo and ride the bus to the 82d with the other ROP rejects.

Lots of info here that'll help you if you want to get right on it. Have fun at jump school.
