Thanks for the warm welcome Rangers! Feels like home already! Looking forward to shooting the shit with all of you.

Um, yes... I would have been the one to have both stabbed him (a gross exaggeration I assure you) and shot him (it was a clean shot dead center of the spine). I find it hard to believe he still whines about it.

Uh <cough> yes, I am a little familiar with that debacle as well (having been the author of it). Again I can assure you it was a complete misunderstanding blown WAY out of proportion. King Dome management said "We want more cowbell." We didn't have a cowbell so we assumed they wanted more violence and took it up just a teensy-wheeny notch.

He was in the C-130 wreck in the early 80s with 2/75. He went down in a couple of helicopters in training. He lost some of his hearing when mortars hit the Battalion in Honduras and there were fatalities. He got stabbed during a combatives demonstration and then shot with a wad from a blank that penetrated his back. He was part of the "Tacoma dome massacre" that scared the hell out of that Christian group during the hand to hand demo. He also did that rappel into the Tacoma Dome. Magician has a picture on his web page, that lists him as "I don't know who this is", about to do that rappel.

Just curious, are we talking about Dennis D? If so, he is here at Polk, just sat in a meeting with him on Tuesday.

There was a video a long time ago, but I stopped looking for it! This thing still comes back to haunt us from time to time, but it was a blast when we did it and despite the press, the crowd thought it was awesome.

Magician has a picture on his site of it, and the rappel in. And yes RgrWest, that's the D we're talking about.

Ask him when you see him - could be the same guy. You might also ask him if he is Doctor D of P and G.

Nah, he's still my best Ranger Buddy. We're in touch regularly. You can hit him up to join up here, like I did.

The thing that killed me about Conlon is how he would say, "what's up NAMBLA?" when you saw him before breakfast. We were in 1SFGA together. Funny bastard.

Good to see you posting here, S.

I would be posting more, but they are trying to overthrow the government here, and it is a bit distracting.

:)
