Well, yes, Iran, and the rest of the Middle East, have their own intel agencies. What you don't understand is that the New York Times and the rest of their ilk ARE part of their intel....

To be honest....it would not surprise me if that was an authorized, deliberate leak by the Obama Administration.
Further, it would not surprise me to learn that this is a scripted part of a long-range plan intended to result in regime change in Tehran.
I do not know for sure, but...I sure hope that I am correct.
