introduction

Post by arock »

I was in Vietnam 1968-69 with 4th division LRRP, E co 58th inf LRRP and later changed to K co 75th Rangers . I am a member of the 75th RRA and would like to be associated with a fine group of Ranger such as yourself.
I choose to be a LRRP , I knew we were different than straight leg inf. by the people in my unit . We pulled LRRP missions with 4 men and that included a Montangard scout and felt no different about what we did than other guys in the Nam and when I finally left the Army it was from Walter Reed at 60% disability which is now 90%, I felt that I had accomplished what was ask of me in the service and felt that way for 30 yrs after Nam . It was not until 10 yrs ago, When I started hearing from other Rangers, I realized how important being a Ranger has been to me in my life. It has been the driving force, whether I knew it or not, for everything I acheived in the last 40 yrs, it has been the glue that kept me together in bad times, and the will and the drive to succeed in life at all cost . I realized that being a Ranger is eternal that other Rangers will be with you when you begin your journey as a Ranger and will be with you at the end. I was told by a Ranger friend one day" YOU WILL ALWAYS BE A RANGER YOU CAN'T QUIT".

Welcome to the site, Ranger. Glad you found us! I was lucky enough to meet several K Co. Rangers at the last Ranger Rendezvous. Perhaps you were one of them.
