RE-INTRO/SITREP Brooks

Hello all,

It has been a few years since my last post and much has happened in regards to me since then. So, i figured now is a good time to update/re-introduce myself.

I was still in high school during my last post and had received both the nomination and appointment needed for a young man like I to attend USMA. It seemed like I was dead set to go but received a last minute congrats letter to Texas A&M with the Corps of Cadets there. Nothing against West Point but being an SMP cadet at a major conventional university with beer and pretty women sounded much better to me.

Since then I've been here going on three years now. Last year I busted my ass to get an Airborne slot. This past summer I graduated in Aco. class 28-09. I drill with an ARNG unit near Dallas that just recently gave me slots to both Air Assault and Pathfinders School for this upcoming summer. Thus Im using the search button to learn, learn, learn.

As always, to the Rangers/Veterans thank you for your service and advice. I hope to be like you all one day.

Welcome back. You are smart to use the summers to get some Army schooling. It just might help you get Infantry.
