New to board and looking for advice/contacts
I am glad to have ran across this board today. I was looking for information about resume writing for veterans and I ended up here.
I was stationded at Ft. lewis and now I live in Portland and go to working/college. My fiancee in attending Emory Law in the Fall and I will be transfering to either Georgia State or Georgia Tech. But before I can even think of school, I need a good job. I have been looking at state and federal jobs off of usajobs.com but I was hoping someone from this board had some contacts in Atlanta.
Any help or advice is very appreciated. Thanks for your time,
CCG

BeadleBug, I am basicaly looking for a solid job in Atlanta. I would love to be proud of what I do to pay the bills. I am a contracted personal trainer in Portland but it took me 6-8 eight months to billed my book of business and get my name out-there. I do not have the time or money to do that again. Any help or advice is very much appreciate and needed. Things are sure different when you have a family.

I know of a couple of guys who work in the technical/computer industry. I'm not sure they can be on any help however I'll contact them on Thursday and find out if they're aware of anything in that area. Outside of physical trainer I don't know what you've done. Your intro didn't give me enough intel, what you did in Bn, didn't mention what you're studying in college, etc. I'm not sure what your MOS was so I'll assume it was 11B.
I know there's a lot of construction work that is goin on down there (plenty of union work as well). They're building houses, office buildings etc like crazy. I would suggest that you check out http://jobsearch.monster.com/interstitial_js.asp and see what is available.
Also do a online search in the paper via the Atlanta Constitution: http://www.ajcjobs.com/wl/JS_JobSearch. ... 6286829189
I hope that helps some bud. Good luck (you might want to give more detailed info concerning your Intro so that we can get a better idea of who we're talkin to and how we might be able to help out)

BeadleBug, As far as experience in the Ranger I was a 11B1V with EMT, Adv. Demolition, etc. Since I have been out I have been running my own business as a trainer and double majoring in Psychology and ex. science. I am one year away from completion but now I need to start-over. Thanks for everyones time and support.

Unless you are a Ranger you need to address all Rangers on this board as "Ranger" ie "Ranger Beadlebug". By the way welcome. Read the board rules.
