because the laws are illegal, and are not authorized to supercede state open and concieled carry laws, which they are attempting.
seems the state AG is waiting for an arrest to hit up the city. there are some groups talking about going to the parks and open carry to push the city. one of my guys says he's going to play with an airsoft in case they confiscate weapons.

Municipalities, small and large, are trying happy horse shit like this all over the country. they are consistently losing, and in the process costing the tax payers sizable chunks of money trying to defend their cases.
While I don't have a lot of love for the NRA, this sort of legal action is why I pay my dues.

Re: What's new in Seattle
The city of San Francisco was just sued and defeated by the NRA for the second time, for outlawing the ownership of any guns by anybody in their city limits. Twice their voters have passed this law. Once in 1982, and again last year. Good old San Francisco, they want everything to be different for them, even if it is against the Constitution. One they did get away with, was a ban on archery in the city limits. It is illegal to shoot a bow in city limits. When they passed that one, their were archery shops with indoor ranges that had to close, and a couple of outdoor archery ranges that had shut down. If you live in SF., you can't shoot a bow on your own property.

What if the bow was making a threatening gesture & I shoot it in self defense?Just a parent wrote:The city of San Francisco was just sued and defeated by the NRA for the second time, for outlawing the ownership of any guns by anybody in their city limits. Sorry, it was the first thought that popped in my head when I read that.
I love SFO, except for all those people. It's the only place I've been where the bums are a tourist attraction, and they get belligerent if you ignore them like in any other city.....

You never know when things like guns and bows are going to jump out and try to hurt you. SF. is like another world. Most of the time it makes me feel embarrassed to say I am from CA.RangerX wrote:What if the bow was making a threatening gesture & I shoot it in self defense?Just a parent wrote:The city of San Francisco was just sued and defeated by the NRA for the second time, for outlawing the ownership of any guns by anybody in their city limits.
