I got a letter from my CC company saying they were raising my interest rate (new terms of service).
I have never been late on a payment, I pay off the account regularly...
I called them and asked why they are raising the rates.
They said something to the effect of "with the poor economic situation..." i cut her off....
I said I don't agree to your new terms. Cancel the account.
Balance was paid... I am done with it.
