PARENTS!

Post by ashort »

i dont know what your guys parents think about joining the army but i have a friend who i brought into the army office and got him set up and sent to meps a few weeks ago and his parents freaked, given hes 18 they cant do shit about it but i was so pissed at what i saw because the lack of respect for my friends decision to make sacrafices for his country, by his own parents non the less. I think it bothered him at first but i talked with him and he shook it off. now me on the other hand, when i came home from meps with my enlistment papers my father was so proud, yes im going to leave home for some time but my parents realize what its all about....but i want anyone to know who might have the same prob my friend had to know that there are people out there who have the same feeling inside them as you, and if you have that desire to do what mant other brave young men have done then do, and dont worry about you parents who have thier heads up there ass because they think our countries freedom is always goin to be there, well its not free, and your sacrafices will bennifit many other......do it for yourself, and if your parents wont support you, you better believe the men next to you will

Kids. You guys are reaching the age where you start making decisions for yourself. There's a lot of factors involved in making those decisions. Driving on with that decision in the face of dissention is what makes you a man.

The whole world is full of people with good advice for ya. If it isn't what you want then you aren't gonna be very successful at it. You 've reache the age where you can leagally make decisions. Life changing decisions. You'll be doing this the rest of your life. Part of the growing up process. If it's something you want with evey fiber of your being then you will be nothing less than satisfied if you don't chose it.

The choice is now yours. If it's what you want then go for it. Ignore the negative responses from the herd. Concentrate on what you are going for. They will respect you in the end and your decision to do so.

No, they are against the military and not just the Army. In fact, it's fair to say that many teachers are against America.

I think a lot of the problems are also other influences such as loser friends that don't want their buddies to leave for the Army. At least that's what I've been seeing a lot. And teachers at school are against the Army, it's sad.
