Incoming FNG

Post by red2alpha »

Greetings all, my name is red2alpha - also known as Mike in "The Real World". Before I get into my introduction I wanted to say how pleased I was to find this site. Like most things on the internet I found myself here by complete accident, I was actually looking for a 1/6th scale CAR-15 for a new MACV-SOG action figure had recently bought.

Anyways, my career.
OSUT - E Co 2nd 54th INF, 1st PLT, AUG 93-OCT 93
AIRBORNE - A Co 1st 507th ABN INF (I can't remember the PLT)
82nd ABN DIV - D Co 1st 325 AIR, 4th PLT, NOV 93-DEC 95 (I got out early on a hardship discharge, I should have stayed in.)
CAL ARMY NAT GUARD - C Co 1st 184th INF, 1st PLT, JUN 96-AUG 07
DEPLOYED: B Co 1st 184th INF, 1st PLT, Al Jabber AFB, Kuwait, JAN 02-JUN 02
C Co 1st 184th INF, OIF 3, AUG 04-JAN 06

Since returning from Iraq I have bounced around the Cal Guard and still haven't found a 'home' per say. I suppose I will eventually.

In closing, I'd just like to say thank you to you all for your service and I look forward to some good times here.

I guess I should add that I now work full time for the Cal Army Nat Guard. Simply one of the best jobs I have ever had.

Glad you found us, bud. One of your former Cal Grd dudes is on this sight, names "Wade". You and he may know some of the same folks. Drive on.

I can point to many places on my action figure where the Bad (but respected) Ranger violated my person. Why do you think I drink so much? It kills the pain of living.
