ANY HOPE?
ANY HOPE?
Hello Rangers. More than anything, I want to be a Ranger! Memorized the Ranger Creed, studying Ranger history, and I PT like hell! I Really want this! However, I had to send in a waiver because of an alcohol related charge that caused me to go to counseling. The charges were dropped and the counseling was completed, everything is closed out. But from what I understand, this waiver disqualifies me from getting Option 40. Is this the case? I have read other posts on here, but i did not find exactly what i was looking for. My recruiter hasn't really given me any helpful information. He just suggests I go airborne, and at the end of airborne Rangers will ask for volunteers to go to RIP. How unlikely is this? Is this my only hope for becoming a Ranger? I appreciate any suggestions or answers.

Re: ANY HOPE?
The question was answered in your introduction post. The best way to get a shot at RIP is to secure it in your contract. You might as well expect a snowballs chance in hell otherwise. The last time I asked around about being able to volunteer at jump school the answer was more than likely no.
