Intro
Hello everyone,
My Name is Brendan. I am 21 years old and am currently stationed at Fort Leonard Wood, MO attached to the 1ID. I am a chaplain assistant and an E-2.
I came into the Army on January 3, 2008 and did my training at both Fort Benning and Fort Jackson. I really love being a part of the Army and am eager to do great things that I never even considered prior to enlisting. The Army has thus far instilled the drive and discipline it has promised and I am ready to put it to the test. I desire to be a ranger, simply put, there is no greater calling in my opinion.
I look forward to learning more about RIP and becoming a ranger on this forum and am reenlisting with RIP in my contract in january, I have some hurdles to overcome yet, but anything worth doing is worth training until you puke for.
Thank you,
Brendan

Thank you, I will drive on. Its a goal that Im not telling very many people about because I want to be mentally eager each day to go out and train when most others choose to sham on pt. I feel like the more people that know, the more negativity I will hear. Thats the principal reason why Im here, if im going to hear advice, Id rather hear it from Men who have done it.

Welcome, Brendan. If you want me to put in a good word with someone who can help you out, send me a PM. Be careful when you ask for something -- you may just get it. I'm taking the liberty to move your intro to the right thread.

Drive on! Good to see that you are a chaplain's assistant!
Try and find a squared away mentor and start learning some good solid basic soldier skills like land nav, imting, etc. if you want to be a hooah.

Ranger Ingraham,
My unit's retention NCO's have come and gone as well... we havent had one since december and each time I go to the post retention they just tell me to wait for the replacement who is due to arrive on May 1. I have to be here for a year before I can leave anyways, and my year isnt up until may 27th so I've learned to be patient with it and I know it will come. Dont get me wrong please, I will be outside his/her office on May 1 waiting to talk RIP, but until then Im just trying to stay focused and motivated. I apologize for not posting any updates on the situation, I didnt understand that people would notice... I will post an update again on the reenlistment/reclass as soon as there is something to post.
