Ky Rak

Post by rakkasan_187 »

How's it goin' Rangers. My name is David I'm 26. Living in Kentucky just outside of Ft. Campbell, I'm definetley not new to this rodeo of the Army but the Rangers.. I only know what I read and research. A little about me and my history,

Joined up back in 02 and went ot OSUT at Ft. Leonard Wood as a 74D CBRN Specialist(lost in the woods) graduated August 31st , about a few days later signed in to the former 371 CML CO. USAR. Was called to Active Duty as a weekend warrior in FEB 03 and deployed March 03. Came back from that tour in Sept.03 Once I was back I did a little bullshitting around then I realized how much Reserve and civilian life sucked. And in mid 05 I volunteered and re-enelisted for Active duty. I chose to come up to Ft. Campbell and after some time getting used to my new duty station I was assigned to the 3de BDE Rakkasans. I'm sure alot of you know who they are. Well I went from an MI Company in 05 to 06 being sent to HHC then late 07 I was selected out of my Platoon to be the NBC NCO in A Co Sappers 3 STB. 3 BDE .. Our BN used to be called 81st BTB which is why no one heard of us. Last official CO was Capt. McCracken in the Sappers who I believe was also a Ranger, tabbed as much as I do know. My brother in Law also spent time in BN what he told me, 3/75th if I remember correctly.

But here is my list of units of service and duty stations in order.

FEB02- AUG02 Ft. Leonard Wood OSUT training
AUG02-JUN05 371st CML CO. USAR
JUN05-SEPT06 B CO. MI 81st BTB 3 BDE Rakksans 101st Airborne Div. AASLT
SEPT06- Sept07 HHC 3 STB 3BDE Rakkasans 101st Airborne Div. AASLT
SEPT07 - FEB 08 A Co. Sappers (NBC NCO) 3 STB 3 BDE Rakkasans 101st Airborne Div

To fill in the missing gap, back in Feb 08 my first wife died in a bad car accident alone the Western Ky Pky while I was in Iraq my 3rd time. After recieving news of her death I immidiately went home and a day before Valentines Day conducted her Memorial service, 3 days after her death with nothing to eat, little sleep and alot of booze. Shortly there after I was given a mental health assessment and they had determined I needed a break from the Army for a bit therefore I was Honorably Discharged under 5-17c and now I'm in the process of looking for any decent damn recruiter who has the balls to do the paperworks and send me to MEPs to get me back in but instead of my old MOS, reclassing to 11B . That has been a fight all on it's own and married again, my second wife is a little over a month pregnant and I'm doing everthing I can to get back in. Oh another little tid bit, I was under the command of COL. Steele while in the Rakkasans and got out shortly after he resigned and COL. Carricillo took over.

Well that's all I have Rangers, you wont hear much from me, since that little search button at the top works wonders when you type in a few key words.. so have a good one!

Good news Rangers, thanks to 2nd wife doing a little home work for me while I'm at work, she managed to find a Recruiter worth the salt to do the paper work to get me back in. Just a matter of losing the spire tire I swallowed since I've been out. All it is , hardcore pt and smoking myself stupid. I've explained to her that it's an easy ride for her but for me it's going to take physical exhaustion and mental as well cause once I'm to the point of hurt, it's going to take mental toughness to drive on past the pain and get back in shape the way I was well before I got out. Not only that my late wife would want me to do what makes me happy and yes you Rangers were right, losing someone you love that much will knock you down to your knees hard but it's just a matter of time before you can pick yourself back up and drive on with your dreams knowing the late wife wants the same you want and what will make you happy and make her proud to know she was your wife and her husband.

I'll keep y'all posted as far as getting back in. I have a appt. with this Recruiter this Sat. for the paperwork to be done, so I'll let ya know how that goes.

Perhaps we have a different definition of much but 25 posts, including a PERSEC violation, in less than 24 hours is excessive. Try going the "be seen and not heard" route for a bit.

We've been down this road before.

But before I say anything further and before you post anything else, why don't you also explain your prior history here at ArmyRanger.com......David.

No thanks, Ranger Centermass. It's a waste of my time and not only that I'm not going to let anyone stand in my way of what I want. I remember watching a little video saying most of this shit is purely pyschological. And well when you lose a spouse, nothing tops that. So as I said, nothing will stand in my way and I will not back down from anyone period. Little things I learned after being out, I miss the Army and civilian life sucks. To add an ending to your little history lesson, I was young back then and now I'm a cunts hair away from 27, a widower and remarried. I've learned my own lessons in life. Back then, it was a pissing contest on the internet and that's it. There I'm done explaining anything.

Considering how god damned tired I am from working multiple 12 hour days these past few weeks, then trying to care for my wife after miscarriaging again and falling ill from it, I'm not going to waste the time nor bother with it. We all know the problems from the past. I'm alot older now since what I've gone thru in the past year and then some. I've learned my lessons..

While I sincerely feel bad for your family situation and wouldn't wish it on anyone, I still fail to see what exactly you bring to this site other than a shitty attitude. You come into our house, repeatedly, get banned repeatedly and are now basically telling everyone to mind their own fucking business while you run the place.

Here's a reality check. Nobody here fucking needs your bullshit, your attitude or your talk. Deliver results and we can reassess. You make it to a Ranger Battalion and serve there and I'll reconsider my feelings about you as a person, as I am sure you will if you make it that far.

Until then you're just another loudmouth fuckstick who talks about what he will be one day.

Well I do know one thing, I've been told there is serious lack of sleep going thru RIP. That I've straight up mastered after my first wife died. I sleep maybe 4 hours and if I'm lucky 8 on a good night. I'm not basically telling anyone anything or I would have come right out and said it. I read certain things, and sometime might have my own incite to put on it. Then everyone else adds their opinions. It's the same exact shit I do as well. My attitude and talk is take no shit from anyone period, I know what has to be done to get there. And I know what I have to do. I know what's expected.. I'll leave it at that.

Why don't you get your Brother in Law to join this site? I see that he is not in 3/75th any more. What happened to him no Tab I bet.
As far as I concerned if you make it back in you will never serve as a Ranger, you have way to many issues to deal with.

Thanks for your prior service.
