Brent Gray - KIA 18 AUG 2006

Post by Nomad »

Two years today. It seems like just yesterday that we were tearing down the El Capo bar together, hitting the streets of Baghdad and living the life at the BOC.

I'll never forget those times or the things I learned from having you around.

Have a drink on us, because we'll be hoisting them in your name all around the world today, Brother.

Brent Gray, KIA, Iraq, 18 August 2006 - Gone but never forgotten.

I just heard about Gray's passing. Sad to hear. I was in Bco 1st platoon while he was in 3rd. Super nice guy and lead the best of them. When ever someone asks me what Ranger School is like I borrow a line he gave me. We were at JRTC and He had just gotten back from Ranger School. It raining outside and cold outside. I asked him, "What was school like" He replied:

"Its' not hard but, it sucks. It is like taking your cot and sleeping outside right now. Anyone can do it but, you just have to want to."
