Now I really hate him........pacman81 wrote:Your'e right, I wana try to be in the DEA, ATF, or Us marshal, or if all else fails a regular cop. And i guess 6 years as an MP would be great on a resume huh?Bell wrote:And even though you hate it now, you will list your Military LE experience on your resume. Stop feeling bad about it. Grab it and use it to your advantage.
yea thats right, 6 years.. thats how hooah i thought i was. . .

As far as local LE goes your chances aren't as great as you think...depends on the area.....unfortunately for you, there has been a long line of your Know-it-all MP brothers that have gone before you.......and hence fucked it up for you.....I know lot's of places that won't hire MP's-too hard to retrain, better to start fresh. Not all places are like that, so check around.
Most feds are knowitall done nothing assholes, especially in the DEA, ATF and FBI, so maybe you'll have a chance there...

Here's my main problem with most MP's....
They think they are some kind of super-cop/superdooper commando......
The reality is that their infantry skills are nowhere near that of a regular leg, and for their LEO abilities...
How much LE experience can you REALLY get on an army base????? Where the majority of your customers are GI's who for the most part generally avoid committing crimes.....All felonies are handled by CID, so you have MP's harrassing soldiers over speeding and stupid misdemeanors cuz THAT's all they can do!!! Stuff that a regular cop would let slide, MP's prosecute out of boredom....
I can't speak of what they are doing in Iraq....Reports look good though.
Don't get me wrong...I wouldn't be so against MP's, except for the fact that 99% of the ones that I have met have the supercop/supercommando attitude.
Stay safe and try to look at the positives.....

Wow, yet another MP on the site. Welcome and I as well as others hope things improve for you. As an MP, I spent most of my time in the field and on deployments with very little LE work which I preferred after having spent time at it. I agree with Ranger Badmuther, most LE MP's I met thought they were law enforcement experts so when I did that assignment, I tried to be fair and couteous unless otherwise warranted. Make the best of it and good luck. Again, Ranger Badmuther made a valid point. It is hard to get a job in LE after being an MP. I worked as a Deputy Sheriff for a few years after the army until my hearing began to fail. I nearly didn't get the job because they advised me that I had to unlearn military law enforcement. The fact that I was a field rat convinced them I was worth giving a chance to. As Angry Pistols said, feel free to Message me if feel the need.

Welcome to the site Pacman......try not to be too discouraged. Look to the future and not so much what you are dealing with today and what has happened in the past.
What is done is done...you cannot change that. You can change what lies in front of you....well...at least help design and mold it.
You and HT bash the DEA and other feds more the me....I wasn't talking about your non-leo border guard security ass...relax....
I'm fine here princess.....you couldn't make any calls anyway.....Desert Sloth wrote:I was busting your balls there numbnuts......I think you need valium.....call me a security guard one more time and I will have make some phone calls about the validity of your hiring packetBadMuther wrote:Hey DumbDick!

I should have clarified, I'm sorry bro.........You were doing something *kinda* highspeed, but now you are going back to being a security guard......
