More Assistance for Vets from A-stan or Iraq

Post by Julieanne »

Texas Hearing and Service Dogs has just launched a brand new program called Assistance Dogs for Military Personnel(ADMP). This program has been created to help military personnel injured during their deployment to Iraq or Afghanistan receive the assistance they need to regain their independence.

ADMP will train Hearing and Service Dogs for military personnel free of charge. Hearing Dogs alert their deaf partners to any sounds that the person is missing. Service Dogs help people who are mobility challenged pick up dropped items, open and close doors and even turn on and off the lights.
