The Most Awesome Thing At WalMart

VOLTRON on DVD!

The '80's were the best cartoon days. Brutal killing, carnage, patriotism, scary monsters...what more could a kid want? Those days are long gone, though; kids today would watch that awesomeness and go to school the next day, dressed like different colored lions and kill everyone.

Starblazers was the shit. To this day I still remember the trauma of racing to the TV at the crack of dawn only to find out my violent cartoon had been replaced by some stupid fucking clown show. The horror!

I knew I had heard the voice of Optimus Prime somewhere before! He was the narrator on Voltron!

Starblazers was awesome; So much so that I bought a few of the VHS's that were available at Best Buy (for a while there). Quite expensive. if I recall, it was like $35 per VHS episode.

My kids don't seem to like it as much as I did when I was that age.. :?

Starblazers rocked. I haven't thought about that show in forever.

I've seen Starblazers before, but I've never really watched it. It looks like it might be the American version of the other comic that was compiled with GoLion to form the American Voltron; I can't remember the name of it, though. Another awesome cartoon to throw into the mix is Battletech.

I'm going to start buying this shit and reliving my youth! Diecast Voltrons are going for around $50 on evilbay.
