That's "RANGER" RPD to you DEPs!

Post by Earthpig »

This is what makes old Rangers feel good. My latest mentee sent this today:

Ranger Earthpig,

Graduated RIP today! Honor graduate again! I got three more coins and a whole bunch of other goodies.

I'm assigned to third battalion. Can't wait for school.

I'm proud as hell, Brother. You made it through the first big obstacle. You earned that Beret and are now part of the strongest Brotherhood in the world. The fun is just beginning. You'll have to prove yourself all over again when you reach 3rd Bat. I have no worries, though. I think you've shown that you have what it takes. Now you get to live the life. Give me a landline when you get settled in, Amigo.

Congratulations!.. 3rd Represent! 8)

Don't forget to keep your head in the game because there are many ways for a young Ranger to get RFS'd. You'll see by just how many people last for a year. Don't you be one of them.

Again, congrats brother!.. It only get better from here!

Congrats!
But come Monday morning, you'll be back at square one as the newest Cherry in the platoon.
Have fun with that

But seriously, congratulations!
A year from now you'll either have a story or a tab.

A tip of the beret to EP as well.

Someone change that kid's status.

Oh, and RPD...stop staring at the scroll on your left shoulder. And stop pausing in front of every reflective piece of glass.

Never mind, stare away, you earned it.

Thanks for stepping up. Enjoy yourself.

Ahhh..to be young again! You'll be plenty sore when the boys get done with ya' but it will be all in good "fun"..

And since your rocking that 3/75 scroll now, allow me to let you know that we were and remain the first Bn, and you are still 3rd... :D :D

Congratulations young Warrior but the mantra remains the same..Never Quit.

Better yet don't drink  Congrats Ranger! Now the real work begins. It's a lot harder to keep that scroll than it is to earn it.

Again, good job Ranger!

Congratulations on completing RIP.

Pay good attention to everything from here on out. It's really easy to get kicked out of Battalion. Keep your head up, do what you're told, volunteer for any school that comes your way that they need privates for and get your tab.
