Okay, first things first - have you read everything in this forum? (ESPECIALLY the stickies)
Mentoring Zone
It just so happens my friend Ranger Matador275 is available as a mentor. He would be the right guy to ask, as would Ranger J.Rico. And these are just the first two on the list who are available...
I would recommend you start your journey there.

Bones,
You must be very happy because a " bitching soldier is a happy soldier".
You have to try to take charge of things that you can. You're an E4 & there must be lower ranking soldiers with you. It's up to you to square them away as well as other SPCs & take it upon yourself to keep them trained, alert & taken care of. This is the time for you to show some leadership.
I feel offended that a fellow MSG is acting that way. I realize that there's nothing you can do about except grin & bear it. Hopefully higher leadership will discover it on their own.
Good luck in your endeavor to go Active Army & join the ranks of the Rangers.
Thankyou for your service & keep your morale up! It's dangerous enough there without dwelling on things you have no control over!
Glenn.

The link that was posted when clicked comes up with a message saying forum dose not exists. I looked around the forum and have not had any luck finding a link that talks about mentors.
I know now that I really need one. I thought I have always presented myself well. I see how much of a higher level Rangers hold themselves and what they expect of others. I need to get my shit squared away especially before Ranger Kilted Heathen finds me and rips me a new asshole.

Ahh.. so you are learning!
You have to realize that you can't do anything about those who came before you. All you can do is keep your shit straight and be a positive role model for those who come after you.
I was told this by my primary PLDC instructor. He was a Vietnam Vet, had earned two Silver Stars on the same day, and was the single most influential NCO I have ever learned from. He was by far the most professional soldier I have ever had the honor of working with.
Soldiers have had to deal with bad leadership since the time of the Roman Legions, and before. Listen to what the Vets here have to say and take it to heart. Good or bad, how you deal with the situation will show your charachter.

One of my former young studs from the Guard, now a PSG in your neighborhood has some SPC in team leader positions, and E-5's working for them. Why, because the E-4's have what it takes to lead, and he won't let an incompetent E-5 jeopardize his guys.
Bottom line, do your fucking job, take care of the guys, and if you know so much about leadership then show it. Good luck.

When I wrote about my chain of command I didn’t mean to turn it into a drama issue. I put it out their to show that I wanted to get away from this kind of leadership and drama crap and to go to a higher level of soldiers and leaders. To continue to talk about it on this forum is like me sitting back in the chow hall with my buddies. Yes I’m to blame for starting this chain of comments. However I did not intend to. If I had the power to start such comments I have the power to end them. Do not post any more comments about my chain of command. Please know that I’m doing all I can as a Jr. NCO. If any more comments are brought up about my chain of command I do think the is breaking one of the rules of the forums, that rule would be No Fucking Drama.

Look, no matter where you go in life, there will be office politics and there will be those in your CoC, either higher or lower than you, who shouldn't be there by your measure.
Part of growing up is learning to deal with this unpleasant fact of life.
I can see that you're doing some serious growing up already, you appear to be on the right path & at the risk of being repetitive:
Place your energy into being the best soldier & leader that you can be with what you have & what you know right now.
Otherwise, learn patience. You're inside the Green Machiine for however long it takes. Just like riding an airliner when you're trapped in Row 7-G next to a 300 pound wino with chiggers until the plane lands in Philidelphia.
You're there until then no matter what, so accept what you can't change & make the most of the rest.
There's been some good advice posted here, read & heed and your journey will be considerably helped along. However, in the end - it all comes down to you & your own inner strength, whether it's the journey to our Regiment or dealing with your wartime experiences.
As one wise Ranger here always says:
Don't ever quit.

Loyalty
Duty
Respect
Selfless Service
Honor
Integrity
Personal Courage
Today I did not live up to these values. I didn’t live up to Respect, if I can’t treat others with respect how can I respect myself? I can’t. If I can’t respect myself then I have no honor. I’m not perfect. However today I took anger out on someone verbally and this is the seconded time this kind of thing has happened to me in the past 30 days. Sometimes a pillow is just not around to punch when I need one. I have stepped on my own dick and it has cost me a price that can not be measured. One day I would love nothing more then to have the pride of wearing a ranger tab and bear the responsibility’s that come with it. However I can’t attempt to reach my goal until I can max the pt test and more importantly can live the army values no matter the situation. Once I get to this point I will log back onto this site and ask for a mentor. I simply do not deserve such an honor right now until I get my shit squared away. I hope you all understand.

A ten second self correction.
But you seem to prefer this pillow-punching control-drama crap.
You hope we understand?
Of course we don't fucking understand.
Fix your shit right fucking now!
You want fucking Honor? Here you go...1500 push-ups on the honor system. Should take you a couple or three days...maybe the strain will pop your fucking head out.
