Thank you for all advice, Rangers.

I'm almost certainly going to hold, unless I've been misinformed of the next RIP starting class. We ship Wednesday at 0930, the 5th. The next RIP class is rumored to start the 4th.

To me, that means a month of great PT and getting to know my Ranger buddies before we get thrown into RIP. Many other RIPies are pissed off and down about it, but I take it in stride. Everything happens for a reason.

Thanks for this excellent resource. I see that I am MUCH better prepared than my fellow RIPies.

Ha Ha Ha!.. you say that now... As far as "getting to know" your RIP buddies, take that with a grain of salt too. Just look around you at all the people who start in your class.

AT LEAST 1/2 won't graduate. Of those another third won't make it a year in Batt. They will RFS for various fuck ups, DUI's, AWOLs, or quit in Battalion!

When it is said that having The Scroll is a "Way of Life", you better fucking belive it!..

You are almost there!!.. Keep you shit straight, DO NOT GET A DUI, and just drive the fuck on. If you stay motivated and in shape it is entirely within your grasp to be a Tabbed E-5 within 3 years of enlistment. THEN run into those so-called "RIP buddies" and let them know how much they fucked up!

That's the good stuff!..

Now go do it!..

None of my RIP Hold buddies made it to graduation. Hell, most of them were gone in 3 days.

Have you gotten to the point yet where you can't believe that someone is paying you to do blow shit up and shoot lots & lots of bullets?..

(Of course, you have to roadmarch back home 12 miles in the cold rain afterward.. )
