Introduction

Post by gRavepc »

Hi,

My name is Jon, I'm 18 years old and I graduated highschool a few months ago. I enlisted in the Army 2 days ago on a 68w/opt40 contract and I ship out to basic training on September 20th.

Thank you.

Congratulations on your bold endeavour! You'll be shipping with some others here, though I don't know if they are 68w.

Congratulations on securing that option40. Thanks for your desire to serve with the Rangers. If you succeed, your life will NEVER be the same. You will be amazed at what accomplishing something that others routinely fail at will do for you.

Welcome. As Dafid Ranger instructed - post your PT scores and your current PT regimen.

If you give up a little more info, and post in the mentoring zone, you might get help. If you don't ask - well...

Sorry for such a long delay between posts.
Since I'm on the injured list, can't really do pushups, but will be able to soon.

pt scores:

PU - coming soon. ~ 60 before I injured my shoulder.
SU- 72
2 mile- 12:01

Ranger Tenn-RGR,

I'm here because my recruiter told me to come to this website after I expressed my desire to become an Army Ranger, I lurked around for a few weeks before I went to MEPS. I thank you all Rangers, and non Rangers for the great information that I was able to read up on before going to MEPS, and the information that is available to me now to improve my PT scores and better my knowledge of what to expect in airborne school, RIP and RS.

Thanks.

So your shoulder is jacked up but you're leaving for Basic in less than a month?

Congrats on your contract, and good luck.

Ranger Invictus,

I just over did it and strained it a bit. Should be good in a few days, neighbor is a deep tissue massager, so that helped me out after a visit today.
