Good Job, Cheesedick! Just goes to show that if you want something bad enough, nothing will stop you. Good luck on your enlistment with the Navy and trying to get on the teams. Not really sure why you would want/need to enlist in the Army after a stint on the teams, but hey , who am I to hate?.. :?
They Navy is just as noble a profession, and the teams have have an equally honorable lineage. I have a friend who just went back to them after a ten year hiatus, and it's like he never left, he says.
Anyway, good luck in your endeavors.

Good to hear, Cheesedick.
Have fun with it. I had a HS friend who was a submariner for 6 years after school. He loved it as I'm sure you will.
Keep in mind you will have to train hard when you can, because those things are cramped like you would not believe.
Hopefully you make it to the teams, and live your dream.
Gppd luck.

I was on a sub for a couple of days in the late 60s and ever since have admired the men who serve on them. The teamwork is awesome. Congratualtions and good luck to you, Submariner!

BTW, you need to stow that "aye, aye" shit swabbie. And don't you start calling a wall a "bulkhead", or a door a "hatch", or the floor "the deck".... :?
or the crapper "the head".. or the kitchen "the galley"...
And you better not call the aid station "sick bay"....or you'll get a kick in the poop deck!!!..

Did you drop something on the keyboard? I have NO CLUE what any of that squid gibberish means. Also, I fail to see how jumping out of planes helps you while in a Submarine....Cadidiot Cheesedick wrote:...SUBSCOL will have all the training for the non-nuclear rates in Groton come '09, YN/SK/CS for SubFlt will all be trained here after BESS vice Meridian after Boot. All of the technical and MM/TM training is done here right now.
Don't bother explaining. I'll assume it's good and give you a congrats.
