Welcome, brother, fellow 2/75 Ranger here, '91-'99 B Company. I also got out and tried the reserves as an MP, can't say I liked it much. SF NG is the way to go, long process, but you can do it while you are waiting to get hired on as a firefighter. Just spoke to one of my old privates who is currently at Bragg doing the NG SF gig, he's loving it. He just graduated camp slappy (SERE) 'bout 2 weeks ago. You want my advice go SF. The old co for 19th group was an old 2/75 guy, don't know if he's there anymore, but I'm sure that unit has plenty of old 2/75 Rangers in it.

Welcome. I did some time in a Reserve SF unit in Florida (Our team house was on the campus at the University of Florida) after I left active duty. It was a little piece of sanity in a world of NARPs. You will get to jump, run a few god training missions, and spend some time with your own kind. It was not active duty, but it beat the alternatives.
