Hi Rangers,
I'm Mazz, I'm 17, and I'm enlisting as soon as they let me

(I think 2 weeks after this year's seniors graduate). I come from a mostly military family and pretty much everyone is behind me on my decision to enlist except for my mom

. Not quite sure which contract I'm going for yet (either 11B op40, or 18X) but I have a little while to make my mind up.

As someone who knows - I say go for the 40 and get some time doing direct action under your belt first. Build a foundation that will help you greatly before you go to SF, if you make a career of it.

Welcome, Mazz....a "CAREER" and you are a Junior in High School? Geez, all I knew as a Junior is that I wanted a job where they gave me shoes to wear and a place I could get laid. Man, kids these days are wired, arent they?

Hopefully, If I goto some summer school I'll be able to graduate a trimester early. I'm also going to take a course in russian this summer at a local college so Ill see if I can get any credit for that. If I don't get out early then I guess I'll be a DEPshit for a year, unless my mom won't sign
