I was very upset to hear about the beret change when I was a freshman, but as soon as Regiment donned the Tan beret, it actually looked better then the Black beret. For one reason, you can automatically tell who is a Ranger and who isn't, and I couldn't even tell a Black beret from a damn Green Beret, I had to look for the scroll, but now, it's so easy, we can spot a Ranger easily at th PX hehe. And also, it just looks better along with the uniforms also. I know color isn't what makes the beret, but for what it stands for, but damn, the Tan beret is an elite beret, not only do the Rangers wear it now, but also the British S.A.S. To me, I'm glad they changed it, but I have 50/50 view on it. 50:They should have just left it alone in the first place, 50:but now it's recognizable and looks a bit better.

Make it Squirt sent me a PM. He was feeling depressed after the tormenting experience of recalling the 45 minutes he was in the front leaning rest and the 10 minutes the Drill SGT yelled at him and was in his face. Said he needed to cheer up and fix up his self esteem, so he was going to go eat a bag of fortune cookies.
