Looks like a photo of a doctored Coast Guard inner harbor vessel. The Service man in the little skit should be heaped praise for providing security. A lone individual doing his job thanklessly being the brunt of a joke about a long time ally.

Sorry to rain on your parade. I fail to see this as funnee of our neighbors to the North.

McD, strange, I was thinking the exact same thing...make those "on the water shots" absolutely effective...if not effective, fun for sure.

BWahahahahahahah!! That's hilarious! Ranger Steadfast, no need to worry about offending us Canucks....we have a great sense of humour about such things! It reminds me of this joke:

The Canadian Government has promised to send reinforcements to Afghanistan from our Airforce, Army and Navy.

With the American exchange that would be 3 Canada Geese, 2 Mounties and a canoe!

I wasn't so worried about the Canadian. They, you can handle yourselves. I was think about that lone Coast Guardsmen in such a little skit protecting some waterway in these United States with HONOR, DUTY & COUNTRY. Something the original poster can not understand. In fact he thinks it is so funnee he had to post it without commending this CG man. In this Veteran's eyes, The joker Jagged can never measure up to & for our Armed Forces. He is just like those jailers that are in the news now. They thought what they were doing was funnee too!

You could probably fire that .50 instead of the engine to propel that little boat.

i didn't mean to offend anyone with this post and if i did then i apologize. i give all of my respect to every soldier who is helping to fight in this war. i just ran across this pic and decided to post it not thinking about it first. thank you Ranger Steadfast for pointing out my mistake and i will take note to not do again without thinking about it.

I remember the still smoldering black clouds rising high carried by the wind over to Staten Island and the smell of acrid smoke, perhaps even bits of burned flesh and bones just after that fateful day. Our Country has done many things, gone many places. More American's have died and will continute to die. I remember seeing, well actually just hearing the fighter air craft high above. A person gets used to hearing regular air traffic around our city. we have 3 major airports, La Guardia, Newark Liberty, & JFK. So believe me when I say I heard those fighters high above. Now again I turn back to our Coast Guard. In NYC, we have at least 13 major bridges & 4 major tunnels. The CG used a slightly larger skit here in NYC harbor where Lady Liberty is just across from Manhattan. I would see 3 CG'men, One manning the .50 cal, one manning the M-60 & the 3rd piloting the vessel. They did their patrolling for at least 9 months. I was surprised as My RVN Marine buddy and myself noticed as they came close to our shoreline they were wearing something we might see on Force Recon Marines with the heavy sweathers. I think I have seen the British SAS wear these types of sweathers too. I am sure it got brutal cold out there on the water. I have eaten in the CG messhall, known as the Galley. These guys here at New York Activities Center New York are really special. I never hear any of them boasting. They are extremely polite. One of the Commander's here just left. We would see him with his two young children on a Sunday morning in the Galley and he always said hello to us old Veterans. I see in their parking lots as I drive to the Coastal Exchange all the different states these men come from. A lot of these guys come from Texas.
I guess my bottom line is that I am proud of my beloved 75th but I am also proud of our other services and the unsung hero's that are always contrubiting to our safety. THANK YOU FOR CARING.
