A WOFT candidate from the civilian side of the house must have 20/20 uncorrected.

Lasic waiver authorized 6 months after surgery.

that's no longer the case. I think it's 20/50 correctable to 20/20.

no idea on the LASIK.

find a flight doc and ask them to look it up for a class 1 FLT Phys.

for an applicant, they must do a class 1 FLT, and get their eyes fucked with/dialated/ and a retinal scan...

the retinal scan may not be until after WOC, but before starting flying. that's how I seem to remember it going.

let me look up some stuff and I'll shoot you a PM.

hey Hit_it, you remember the reg that covers WOFT candidates?

Everything is in AR 601-210 to include WOFT, OCS, nlisting after resigning commission, screwing the neighbors' goat....

It's al there. I just have to get my hand on the current changes, which is kind of hard to do from here.

A new WOCS class starts every 2 weeks. And you can get an age waiver. I personally went thru flight school with 2 guys who got age waivers. One was a former 2/75 FO and 18C/18E from 10th Group.
