Introduction

Post by Gnosis »

Hello,

My name is Matthew, I am twenty-one years old, and I am currently living in Athens, Georgia. On 20070125 I selected 11X as my MOS and signed a six year contract with Option 40 included. My OSUT start date is 20070302.

I am at a physical disadvantage since most of the introductions I have read here are from people who have been preparing for this opportunity for years. However, I will not let this deter me. I will not fail.

I felt I should register and introduce myself since I have been lurking this site silently for the last couple weeks.

You don't have much time, before you ship. PT your ass off, and when you're not doing that, research this site. There is a vast amount of knowledge here at your fingertips that many of us didn't have when we enlisted. Make the best of it and complete your mission. There will be more who quit than make it. It takes guts to earn that Beret. I hope you have the desire to be a success story. good luck, and welcome to the site.

Welcome to the site, and thank you for your desire to serve this great nation of ours. The best advice I can give you is do a lot of PT and when you're not doing that, do a lot of PT.

I wonder how many men have gone in like this after sitting on their asses, smoking, drinking, getting laid, and just...show up. And....they make it!

I'm not the way I am because I was a Ranger - I was a Ranger because of the way I am.

I was up all fucking night pounding beers before I left, not a care in the world. I knew they were going to abuse me, just figured I'd get a head start.

Never did much of anything before that, I just went. Failing never even crossed my mind.
