ankle weights?
ankle weights?
Lately, everyother time i jog, i've been using ankle weights. Some people said that it could cause injury to my knee. I was wondering what you guys thought. I know muddy boots weight alot and you guys would know more that me(boots and ankle weights both weigh significantly more than your average shoe). The ones i'm using are 5lbs per leg. Yay or Nay? :D
The latest research shows that their is a negative correlation between adding extra weight to an exercise such as running, or anything else that uses your body.
For instance, you wouldn't wear an elbow weight to build up your arm for swinging at baseballs, because you would be essentially training your body to always swing lower and slower then you normally would.
