PS. I only have 11x contract, I had the option 40, but they took it from me. They're machine din't say I'm 20/20 correctable wich all other doctors said I was, but anywas, I'll get it later, if I can't get it in my 1st enlistmen I'll get it next and I can use the experience as an infantryman.

:D Thank you everyone for your hospitality.
Ranger Badmuther, I did everything I could... you see I was so eager to join the Army and I thought the recruiters were my friends hehe, so they gave me Chemical Operations Specialist w/ Opt 40. I only took it because of the o40 and I thought I would be in a Batt and of course my recruiter said 'yes you will'. Then when I went to MEPs for the Airborne Physical they just saw that in the medical record said I wasn't 20/20, boom they just said 'you don't qualify and since you don't qualify you can't have RIP in your contract'. So I was really fucked now because I had to go as Chemical Specialist, something I never wanted. After this is when I started to call everyone at MEPs, 1SG, Capt America and everyone and they got so annoyed that they said they would give a second chance to prove I am 20/20, I went and got much better vission but still not 20/20, they said... Then I got the counselor that signed me up to get me Infantry and he sent some exeption and thanks to him and God of course I could get it. All this was a goddamn frustrating experience since every time I called someone they would say "they're working on it" and my date to leave as a chem was really close, I got the infantry job 5 days before I was supposed to leave. Anyways, got what I wanted, not all but I can really use the experience as an infantryman and you know... I'm 17 still got a lot of time ahead of me. I'm really happy with what I got so far.
Ranger Luna you are welcome. I don't live in the USA but Puerto Rico is something like a state hehe and I can tell you that your country has given me more than what I have given to him. I'm joining because I believe in freedom and hey I LOVE action!!
PS. FUCK Fidel
Certiorari, my wife is 1 month pregnant... Hey it's a shame I lost that option 40 but the way I see it, It would have being a shame I went directly to RIP and failed, not that I EVER planned to, but I know the experience will be only for my advantage. Thank you for your concern.
Well nice meeting you all, I'll be coming here whenever I can since I don't have much to do untill next monday. Thank you again and have a great day.

basically what happened to this guy happens alot. he needed a vision waiver and it was NOT spotted during his physical. since his PULHES was a picket fence, the counselor wrote him an OP40. without seeing the stuff the doc wrote down, i would have done the same.
the mistake by MEPS (not counselors) was caught when he went to take his ABN physical. now we have to problems. if guidance doesn't terminate his contract, the GC is in hot shit. if MEPS doesn't tell the Army office, this guy goes to ship and get his contract yanked anyway.
since he needed a medical waiver, he was not eligible for any options like ABN or OP40.
see my post "side note" it explains what's going on with in training RENO's for people to get things like ABN and OP40 added to their contracts.
funny how he could qualify for this after he's in but the counselors can't write him at MEP because of a technicality. gotta love USAREC.
oh, and welcome to the team.

If you want some motivational mail when you go off to OSUT shoot me a PM when you get a chance at Benning.
