Ranger The Sleepy Doc thank you for your insight about other chaplains. I look at shooting one like this. If you look in the Old Testament, Israel went to war all the time. If it wasn't God's will to go to war, the soldiers weren't punished the leaders were. So if I get the order to shoot, I shoot to kill.

Welcome.....

One of my best friends is a Chaplin, Another was beside me in the ER in Iraq during the worst nights. I saw the toll it took on him and believe that the Chaplin has the worst job in Combat. We are all human and have the same feelings about losing people that wear our uniform and a Chaplin has to be there for all who need him and still deal with the same feelings that tear them up inside. I am not the most religious person but will say that a good Chaplain is a life saver from God.
So if I get the order to shoot, I shoot to kill.
On a side note save these comments till you are at least MOS qualified after BCT and AIT and have attained the title of Soldier. I knew too many fuck ups in the reserves that were all tough till we hit boots on ground. Talk is cheap.

Best of luck to you Boliver. The Rangers (and their families while they are deployed) who serve now deserve the best chaplains and assistants the Army can muster.

You seem to have good intentions kid, now stop posting for awhile and go read as you've been directed (repeatedly).
You won't make it, you don't know when to STFU.

I sincerely hope you are balancing those several hours with an equal amount of PT.

Now quit proving Ranger Cams point and be quiet.

You know what kid, I'm not picking on you for anything personal, but if it were up to me, I'd throw yer ass out the front door for failure to follow simple instructions.

Whether you know it or not, as soon as you signed on here your test began and your failing quickly.

I think he may have finally gotten it. He hasn't posted in a couple days.

Jim wanders away hoping Bolivar learned something worthwhile.

42L5V, In what ways should I look out?

Boliver

Although initial entry training across the Army is getting softer and easier, Ft Jackson is the Army's showcase for producing Soldiers without discipline and standards. This is not because your Drill Sergeants will be substandard in any way. It is because every new idea, thought or policy the Army comes up with is first tried out at Ft. Jackson before it's exported to the rest of IET. Also, the rules concerning private well-being are more ridgidly enforced there. When you get to AIT seek out others who did basic at different posts. Start comparing stories and average PT scores for people in your basic platoons.

There - I've spent more time answering your question than I have doing my college homework. Go do some PT.
