Leaders thank Arizona Purple Heart recipients

Post by 23LRS »

Hey, I went to this ceremony yesterday where some local leaders and our local ABC affiliate put on to honor Arizona Purple Heart winners in the GWOT. It was really cool, they had a fly-over by F-16's and then John McCain, and our Republican Senators spoke and also the Gov. I got goose bumps listening to them. There were also a bunch of Viet-Nam vets that rode their bikes in and they were the honor guard. They gave the PH winners these really nice gift baskets as a thanks1. There were a ton of fire truck and cops cars from local agencies. It was seriously moving! It was awesome seeing the support!!

I saw the F-16's fly over my school(ASU) in formation on Thursday. Thought it was pretty neat, but didn't know what was going on. Sounds like it was a pretty cool event.

I was just in the Purple Heart Office speaking with a buddy at my local V.A.

I saw a sign on the door saying:
