Excellent report, Sir! Kudos to your son and to your family. You've raised a Ranger. That makes you pretty elite, as well. I'm especially pleased to hear that he will be assigned to 2nd Bat. When he gets settlled in, have him stop by the site.

Thanks, Prouddad, for sharing your experience. My parents did not attend my RIP graduation, or any of my hoah-school graduations, either. I come from a part of the country where too many people view military people with scorn or pity, not pride. Thanks for wholeheartedly supporting your son and respecting his decision to become a Ranger.

prouddad,

Thank you for supporting your son and this unit. He will continue to need your encouraging words and steadfast paternal counsel in the months and years to come. His personal challenges and achievements are only just beginning, and many difficult days and exciting nights lie ahead. This will be a season in his life he will never forget, and things are going to start happening very fast for him.

When he does get on ArmyRanger.com have him send me a PM and we'll link up so I can verify him on the board.

Great. This is exactly why ArmyRanger.com exists. To help prepare young men in their transformation to Ranger.
